I need people like you to help me get the word out. Thank you. I appreciate you so much. So are you ready for this week’s episode? While we are diving into a topic that I love talking about because it is something that I work on with my clients every single day, every single session that we have together, every group coaching experience, and that is an abundance versus a scarcity mindset.

If you know me, you know, I love definition. So let’s make sure that we are all starting off on the same foot with what these words mean. So when I talk about an abundance mindset, ultimately what I mean is that an abundance mindset is one in which. There is what you would call enough for everybody, right?

It’s infinite. So when we have an abundance mindset, it means that we are open, we are in flow, we are optimistic, and we focus on possibility. We believe that success is not limited. We believe that it is unlimited and it doesn’t, our success has nothing to do with anyone else’s because there is enough for us all creator and God create enough and create all of the abundance that there is to be had.

And so when we are in an abundance mindset, We are optimistic. We are in a state of generosity. We are seeking collaboration. We are completely open to transformation. And we focus on, uh, future, uh, like long term perspectives because we are acting from that place instead of one in the present moment. So on the flip side, what is the scarcity mindset?

So scarcity is really believing that. There is, there is a limitation, right? Resources and opportunities are limited. And so what does that lead to? Well, it leads to competition. It leads to fear. It also leads to anxiety. It leads to, you know, competitiveness. So. When we are in a scarcity mindset, we see everything as limited, and we tend to take a glass half empty approach in life and at work.

And so when you are in a scarcity mindset, typically you’re pessimistic, typically you are in a state of competition, you tend to hoard, right, because you think that you don’t have enough. Thanks. Um, you are extremely resistant to change mainly because you are trying to create some semblance of control because you fear losing control.

And so you are afraid to make any changes whatsoever because what if you have less?

Before we continue with today’s episode, let’s take a moment to reflect on what we’ve discussed so far. We’ve explored the transformative potential of life’s pauses and the importance of embracing them to unlock your true potential. Remember these moments of reflection and growth are stepping stones towards creating that intuitively designed life that you desire.

So in this moment, let’s take an opportunity to pause Breathe and consider how you can apply what you’ve learned so far to your own journey. Now let’s dive back into our conversation where I will continue to explore the power within life’s pauses and how they can guide you towards a life filled with purpose and authenticity.

And you typically also are someone, if you are in a scarcity mindset where you’re thinking in the short term. So you’re prioritizing what I call band aids or looking at, you know, the short term, you’re looking at immediate gains versus long term growth and potential. And so the way in which I teach my clients to really step into and embrace this abundance mindset is incorporating it.

pauses into your day. And I hear all the time, I don’t have time. I have all this to do. I have to go run, da, da. Okay. A pause could be five seconds. A pause could be you just taking one deep breath. So if you are committed to taking deliberate pauses, Throughout your day, I promise you it is going to completely shift your mindset out of scarcity and into abundance.

It is a very powerful practice that is going to transform your mindset. You want to know how? Let me tell you. So when you pause, you’re number one, you’re creating space for yourself. For you to reflect and to receive messages from your angels, from your spirit guides, from God, the problem is, is that when you are in a scarcity mindset, you’re in the hustle, you’re on the hamster wheel of life.

So you’re. Probably what you’re doing right now is, is living in that, right? And you’re not seeing what’s actually available to you when you pause versus somebody who’s in an abundance mindset, you actually see how stepping into a pause is really what is going to enable you to really reflect and hear and see what is available to you because it fosters.

A connection to a higher power, which also infuses you with gratitude. Number two, when you are taking deliberate pauses throughout the day, it is also enhancing your ability to focus and to feel clarity. So if you are somebody who is in a scarcity mindset, you’re Not giving yourself breaks, right? So that’s what leads to your overwhelm, to your burnout and why you keep looking at what you do not have.

That is why you focus on what is lacking in your life versus somebody who is in an abundance mindset. Taking moments throughout the day to pause really helps you to clear that mental clutter and chatter to shut down and to turn down the volume on your ego. And it really helps you focus on the bigger picture because.

When your mind is clear, you actually see and hear things that you will overlook if you are on the hamster wheel and in a scarcity mindset. Another reason, number three, is when you pause, it promotes what I call mindfulness. And a mindfulness practice is when you are paying attention to your thoughts without judgment, and you’re seeing things from multiple perspectives.

So when you are in a scarcity mindset, you’re focusing on the negative. The limiting beliefs, the fears, Oh my God, this is going to go wrong. That is going to go wrong. Right? I was in a scarcity mindset when I was thinking about or reading into the signs that I was getting from the universe and from God telling me to close down my seven figure divorce business.

And once I allowed myself to lean into the pause without judgment around the signs that were telling me that it was time to become that Phoenix Rising and to start my new business, it was unbelievable what came to me. In those moments, what I was able to do was shift from scarcity to abundance. So when I was in a state of mindfulness, what I was able to do was to really allow myself to breathe deeply, to stay in the present moment, to question what facts I had that we’re going to back up.

All of the different scenarios that I had created in my head of all the different things that were going wrong, and instead I appreciated the now the moment connecting with God and creator to foster and to create the abundance in my new business. Another way that the pause supports you in, in abundance mindset is that it helps you.

It’s similar to what we just talked about, but it reframes your negative thoughts. So when you’re in an abundance mindset, you’re actually consciously paying attention to what it is that your mind is telling you, right? You’re shifting your inner dialogue, and you’re instead shifting and looking at a positive possibility, a positive perspective, versus scarcity mindset.

Oh my God. Negative self talk, limiting beliefs, the not enough. It’s dangerous. It’s a dangerous rabbit hole that I bet you go down every single day. Another reason why pausing is important is Because it actually improves your ability to make decisions. So when you are in a scarcity mindset, many times the decisions that you’re making in life and in business are driven by fear, they’re driven by lack.

You feel pressure and they are not in your highest and best versus when you are in an abundance mindset, you allow yourself to pause and take thoughtful consideration. Because what you are doing is you’re allowing yourself to align with your highest and best. It is going to align you with what is possible, where the growth lays, versus in scarcity, you’re, you’re handcuffed by fear and limitation.

And the last thing that I really want to say about this is when you are in an abundance mindset, And you practice the pause to get yourself there. It actually creates resilience. It enables you to really support and persevere through anything. It builds confidence. It builds your self worth. It builds your self esteem.

So I encourage you to take these deliberate pauses, to take a step back from the hamster wheel of your daily routine, and gift yourself with the space to reassess and get some clarity around, am I in a scarcity mindset or am I in an abundance mindset? Because when you allow yourself to have this break from this constant hamster wheel of activity that’s probably exhausting you and burning you out, gifting yourself with the pause is going to bring that stress down.

It’s going to prevent your burnout, which believe me, I’ve been there. I was in burnout mode in corporate. I was in burnout mode when I was grasping onto my divorce business before I pivoted. And the second that I let it go, And, and I stepped into the land of possibility, all of a sudden my mind started coming up with these amazing creative ideas.

I was making the very clear decisions, whereas before they were, they were blurry, they were fuzzy, they didn’t feel good in my body versus when I allowed myself to think about what was possible. I was making decisions that felt like there was a flow, right? I didn’t feel construction. I felt this openness.

And so I encourage you. All listening to today’s podcast to shift yourself, notice what happens in your body when you’re in scarcity and notice what happens in your body when you’re in an abundance mindset and gift yourself with deliberate pauses throughout the day. I don’t care if it’s setting an alarm on your phone, it’s setting reminders, you know, every hour to like breathe for a minute or to close your eyes or to put on music or to journal or whatever it is.

But when you incorporate these regular mental breaks into your routines, it’s going to support you in creating the life and the business that you desire. At the end of the day, what I have observed, what I have seen, is that when we pause, it doesn’t just transform our mindset. But it realigns us with our highest and best that ultimately align us with where it is that we are seeking to go.

That long term soul’s mission, purpose, that is going to lead to so much prosperity and abundance in your life.
