How does trusting your gut accelerate abundance in business?

In this episode, I’m sharing the importance of relying on intuition rather than ego when making decisions in your life and business.

When your ego starts to get in the way, listen to your innermost voice instead. It’s the compass that will guide you to take the right course of action, unlock abundance, and increase your self-confidence.

My magical vacation in Puerto Rico allowed me to tap back into moments of pause. It reminded me to slow down and contemplate my entrepreneurial journey.

I encourage you to be deliberate, embrace the power of pause, and reflect as you make life-changing decisions.

Hello, everybody. And welcome to another episode of the power in the pause podcast. How are you guys doing today? Oh, you guys, I am coming back from a magical four or five days, uh, in Puerto Rico, specifically on Vieques, which is one of the islands. I was there with my mentor and it was incredibly magical.

I can’t even. give you another word other than that. It was utterly magical. And it is what actually inspired me to record today’s episode of our podcast, which has to do with learning how to trust your gut versus your ego. Ego as you are navigating different decisions that you’re making in your business as well as your life.

And in today’s episode, I want to talk a little bit about how trusting your gut, listening to your intuitive. I can voice will help you to not only increase the abundance that you create, but it also is going to increase your confidence. Now so many times in business, if you’re anything like me, we forget to slow down.

We forget to pause. But what I. I have learned over the last seven and a half years as an entrepreneur is that when I slow down, that is when the magic and the acceleration happens. So I would invite you to think about this today, which is, have you ever considered that the secret? To speeding up your abundance and your confidence is actually in the slowdown.

So, quick reminder, don’t forget to hit subscribe or to Also leave me a five star review because this is how you are going to also get notified that I have a new episode dropping that you are also going to help people to discover this particular podcast. So if you could do that for me now, I would appreciate it as you are pondering this question.

And. If any of you guys are like me, perhaps you have been trained in the world of corporate, where it’s all about fast pace, fast business decisions, move, move, move, you’re a mover and a shaker, you love crossing things off your to do list, and I don’t know about you, but in my 20 plus year corporate career, I was always, always rewarded or complimented when I would move at this incredibly fast pace.

But what I have learned actually as an entrepreneur is that when we are making decisions, They get to be made when we can create the opportunity to pause, reflect, and to make the decision that is going to be best for us, right? Because what I’ve learned by shifting into the entrepreneur world is that really the true key to unlocking abundance is when you give yourself the opportunity to pause, reflect, and slow down.

And I don’t know about you, but I seem to kind of get into this habit where I keep feeling like I’m battling between, you know, listening to my intuition, trusting my gut, and then my ego sometimes gets in the way and likes to, you know, take the lead, right? It’s almost like I’m envisioning that they’re, you know, it’s like, who’s fighting to be the lead dancer, right?

Follow my lead. But what I realized is actually those two things are not the same. You see, my intuition, my gut, is really my inner most trusted compass that always guides me through decisions that are tapping into my higher self, that are really coming from a place of thoughtfulness and wisdom. Versus when my ego is taking the lead, so many times it’s very loud, right?

It’s loud, it feels more like noise, and I tend to find that when my ego is speaking to me, I find that it’s pushing me towards perhaps what may look good. Versus what feels right, right? I’m going to say that again. Your ego, right? Is appeasing others and wanting you to look good instead of trusting what actually feels right.

And maybe that path less taken

before we continue with today’s episode. Let’s take a moment to reflect on what we’ve discussed so far. We’ve explored the transformative potential of lifelong learning. Pause is and the importance of embracing them to unlock your true potential. Remember these moments of reflection and growth are stepping stones towards creating that intuitively designed life that you desire.

So in this moment, let’s take an opportunity to pause. Breathe and consider how you can apply what you’ve learned so far to your own journey. Now let’s dive back into our conversation where I will continue to explore the power within life’s pauses and how they can guide you towards a life filled with purpose and authenticity.

So what I found is that when we slow down, right, when I gifted myself with time away and being in Puerto Rico and being in this other location, right, I gifted myself with the ability. I actually reminded myself that it was time to slow down, to give myself the space that I needed because I started.

Confusing the two, right? I’m just like you, okay? I get caught up in the noise, I get caught up as well, and, you know, I will admit, like, I have forgotten the art of the pause until I went to Puerto Rico last week. And so when I really remembered and got back in touch with these moments of pause, these moments of quiet reflection, that all of this clarity was coming through and there’s going to be so many more podcast episodes that I’m going to come in here with, um, that you guys are going to receive over the next couple of weeks and months is all the wisdom that started coming in the moment that I reset, right?

That I gifted myself with that recharge. That I got back in touch with trusting that intuitive I can voice, trusting my gut and silencing, right? Turning the volume down on my ego so that I stopped making decisions that either I thought other people wanted me to make or that would make me look good and instead got back in touch with, wait a second, what’s right for me?

What’s right for my business? And I just want to reiterate something, okay? Like, this isn’t about being slow. Okay. When I say to slow down, right, to step into a pause, what I’m saying is that it’s about being deliberate. It’s about recognizing that sometimes in order for us to really accelerate, to be in that momentum moving forward, we have actually got to take a step back and listen, tune in, and then Based on the messages that your intuition is sending you, that’s when you take the leap, right?

That’s when the momentum gets to propel you into this leap forward with confidence. So, what I would challenge you with, Okay, as you are heading out into your day today and tomorrow, and maybe take this for the next week, is I challenge you that the next time that you are presented with a decision, which is pretty much every minute of every day, am I right?

I’m going to invite you to pause, deliberately take a breath. Reflect and listen to your intuition, listen to your gut, turn down the volume on your ego, and notice how everything, right, your approach specifically is going to shift, it’s going to transform. And notice the abundance that is going to flow in as a result.

So I really invite you to celebrate the power of pausing exactly what this podcast is all about and share with me. I’d love to hear the success that you have when you slow down, how it helps you to actually stay on track. Speed up because together we get to inspire one another to really make these wiser, more intuitive business decisions that are going to enable us to really accelerate our path, which I know each and every one of us wants, but also understand that time, right, is what you make of it.

The universe doesn’t necessarily play in the same, uh, time, you know, continuum that we do. The universe operates on a completely different timeline. And so when you think about time that it’s going to take, understand that you’re here on a journey, that you are not here for quick fixes, because the quick fixes are really actually what continue to keep slowing you down.

It’s really in the deliberate pauses in the journey. And so, in the sightseeing and taking a look around, tapping into your five senses along the way, that is what is going to accelerate your path moving forward.
